"I've seen what happens when systems work, and I've seen what happens when they fail."
My Entire Life Prepared Me for This Moment.
People often ask what qualifies me to serve as Mayor of Pensacola.
My answer is simple: I've spent my life working directly with people and the challenges they face every day.
I've helped individuals navigate addiction, mental health crises, homelessness, unemployment, and some of the most difficult moments imaginable. I've worked alongside families searching for answers, connected people to resources, and advocated for those who often felt unheard.
That work taught me something important: leadership is not about titles. It's about listening, solving problems, and bringing people together to create real solutions.
I've seen what happens when systems work, and I've seen what happens when they fail. I've witnessed the impact of good decisions, and the consequences of bad ones. Those experiences gave me a deep understanding of the challenges facing our community and the urgency of addressing them.
The role of Mayor is ultimately about service. It is about listening to residents, understanding their concerns, making informed decisions, and delivering results that improve people's lives.
That is the work I have spent my life doing. And that is the work I am prepared to do for Pensacola.

2026 National Peer Specialist of The Year
Being named the National Council for Mental Wellbeing's Peer Specialist of the Year was more than an individual achievement, it was recognition of a career spent helping people navigate complex systems and overcome barriers that often stand between them and success.
The work required a deep understanding of policies, procedures, and available resources, as well as the ability to identify solutions when traditional approaches fell short. Whether coordinating services, advocating for individuals in crisis, or connecting people to critical support, success depended on cutting through red tape, building partnerships, and finding practical paths forward.
At its core, the recognition reflects an ability to listen, solve problems, and bring people together to achieve positive outcomes. Those same skills, understanding systems, removing obstacles, and delivering results are essential to effective leadership and are the foundation of my approach to public service.
